unrato#6『冬の時代』上演決定

この度、演劇ユニット「unrato（アン・ラト）」とぴあ株式会社は2020年3月、
東京芸術劇場シアターウエストにて、木下順二氏の『冬の時代』を上演します。

大逆事件（1910年）以降約5年間は社会主義運動の「冬の時代」と呼ばれました。
この時期、堺利彦は「売文社」をおこし、荒畑寒村と大杉栄は、雑誌「近代思想」を発行し、
言葉によって世の中を動かそうと尽力し、社会運動だけではなく文化運動にも力を注ぎました。
『冬の時代』には堺利彦や大杉栄、荒畑寒村、伊藤野枝など実在の人物が名前を変えて登場します。

劇団民藝での初演は1964年、東京オリンピックの年でした。
２度目の東京オリンピックを迎える2020年にこの物語を上演します。
本公演では、登場人物の実年齢に近い20代、30代、40代の若いキャストを中心に上演します。
知的で情熱的な若者たちの物語を、小劇場の濃密な空間で、現代の若いキャストとともに挑みたいと思います。

＜あらすじ＞
舞台は、大逆事件（1910年）の後、渋六が設立した、代筆や文章代行を行う「売文社」の一室。
あちこちから、忍術の本や広告作成などの依頼が次々と届いている。楽天家の渋六社長のもとには、
ショーやノギ、不敬漢、デブ、文学士ら多士済々の社員が集まっている。激動する社会、飄風の恋愛事件…。
雑誌「新社会」の旗上げ宣言を奥方が読み上げて…。未来へと行動し続ける若き表現者たちを力強く描く物語。
